- Dress in colours that blend with the natural environment
- Trekkers must use jungle boots for safety.
- Learn about local language, culture, plants and wildlife.
- Carry a notebook, flashlight, road maps and compass.
- Nature Camps are fire sensitive. Take precautions in using electronic gadgets, candles, matchsticks and any inflammable material at the camp site.
- Turn off all the lights, fan, geyser and unplug unnecessary appliances when not in use.
- Utilize public transportation and alternative modes of transportation (walking, bicycle, non-motorised vehicles, horse, camel) as much as possible.
- Reuse your towels and bed sheets by indicating you don’t wish to have them washed every day.
- Wherever possible, utilize options that do not require batteries. Buy rechargeable batteries for your essential travel items such as cameras, razors, and flash lights.
- Listen to the melodious music of the forest instead of your stereo
DONTs for Visitors
- Do not litter. Dispose waste responsibly.
- Do not take away flora in the form of cuttings, seeds or roots without proper permission or sale at the camp site.
- Plucking of flowers is strictly prohibited.
- Don’t let water run while shaving, brushing or washing. Use minimum amount of water needed for a shower / bath.
- Do not light fires or smoke inside camp site. Accidental forest fires cause irreparable damage.
- Any violation of the above will invite penalty of Rs.1000/-
